Discipleship Material
Discipleship is just the Church’s word to describe the spiritual growth process. That process follows the same pattern as the natural1 child-rearing process that the whole world knows and practices. Discipleship is not complicated; however spiritual2 concepts must be learned and applied in place of the natural ones…so that the spirit man can grow.
At the core of the spiritual growth process are the 263 commands in 58 teaching sessions that Jesus instructed His followers to teach and observe. He said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”These are contained in the three-book teaching series entitled, “A Journey with Jesus”. However, recognizing that the twelve disciples had knowledge3 of their faith and the Scriptures before Jesus began instructing them, we have prepared the Elementary Principles teaching materials in PDF format to assist newer believers in their faith. The Apostle John describes the three stages of the spiritual growth process as: children, young men and fathers4. So we have placed all the teaching materials and activities to be undertaken in a format that correspond to the natural child-rearing process.
